FARNHAM
Before
The garden was essentially a concrete jungle. A shed, a driveway and concrete slabs.
The client has bad hayfever and wanted an allergy free planting scheme that encouraged as much wildlife into the space as possible.
After
We broke up the rectilinear shape of the garden by added a curved path through planting to a relaxed seating area. With a curved teak bench looking out to an oversized water bowl set amongst planting, the whole atmosphere changed.
Dark grey fences made the plants in front sing. A multistem crab apple was chosen for its seasonal interest. An interesting, yet pollen free planting scheme was devised using a cool palette of purples, whites, pinks and greens.
